Seriously, how cool is the name Kenta Koa??? And yes, for all you Dodger fans, he is named after, now former :( Dodger pitcher, Kenta Maeda!
Kenta's mom and I are second cousins, I think? Her mom and my dad are first cousins, so someone tell me what that makes us! Hahaha.
I was so stoked when Cass asked me to shoot their maternity photos at the end of 2018. I knew their wait for baby Kenta was a long and hard one, so of course I wanted to be a part in celebrating him! In early 2019, I went to their house to capture his newborn photos-and my first session with my revised style of shooting newborns! (More on that later). I loved (and still do!) these pictures. 1000% exactly why I shifted my style. They are a beautiful family and I loved being able to capture his little-ness.
Fast forward to last month-he's a year old now! Obviously Cassidy + Darin are huge baseball fans, so it was only appropriate to capture Kenta's first year photos on the baseball field! I absolutely loved just following him around, because he's one, so that's what you do. He played with baseballs, a bat, and even sported his Dodger hat for a split second. His hair was too good to keep covered anyway! Ha.
Enjoy these...they are just the cutest, and I can't wait for the next time I get to follow this little guy around!
